My December planning is just starting. We’ve got birthdays and Christmas celebrations coming up and I have a lot to do. I’ll return to old favourites, but also try a few new things. Good luck to everyone with their December culinary projects.
Pictured here, I’ve shared memorable bakes from the past year. A lemon sponge cake, filled with shortbread flavoured Swiss meringue buttercream, chocolate cake filled with vanilla cream, Basque cheesecake and vanilla and raspberry cupcakes.

If I had to create a new world where only one flavor exists, I would DEFINITELY go with sweet 😂. I couldn’t pick just one to start tasting, @mandie-lowe . Which one do you think was the best?

They were all so good, but I think about the chocolate cake often! I’m definitely making it again during the December holidays. It’s a moist sponge cake, filled with a whipped vanilla Mascarpone cream and topped with a dark chocolate ganache glaze.
