After a super long winter here, I could grill tonight! Buttermilk brined pork chops with a grilled potato gratin and blistered green beans tossed with a jalapeño lime vinegar. So good (and so needed!)

What a feast! That combination of pork chops, gratin, and green beans has everything to make it a comforting and flavorful dish. How did you get that perfect doneness on the meat? It looks juicy with a beautiful sear. You can really tell the care put into the cooking and the balance of flavors.
Thanks for sharing it with the community! 🫶🏻

That looks like the perfect way to celebrate the return of grilling season! 🔥 The buttermilk brine must have made those pork chops incredibly juicy—did you go for a classic 24-hour soak or tweak the timing? And that jalapeño lime vinegar on the green beans? Genius touch for balance!

Just made this broccoli, cheddar, gnocchi soup to use up my broccoli and it was absolutely next level. I added a touch of nutmeg and Dijon mustard in at the end which really shown through.

I like how the broccoli is finely chopped,it blends into the cream without losing its presence. The touch of Dijon mustard is a smart move; it cuts through the richness and adds a bit of character. Now, between us, did you sear the gnocchi first, or did they go straight into the soup? Because a little extra texture there could be… Seguir leyendo

That chopper was a great pick! It saves time and keeps everything nice and even—such a game changer in the kitchen. And about the gnocchi, I get it,sometimes you have to play it safe to avoid a ‘table rebellion’ 🤣.
If you ever feel like browning them, try a little butter and garlic—it adds a nice touch without stealing the spotlight from the… Seguir leyendo

I have a friend who has a family farm and every summer I make sure to buy a huge basket of San Marzano tomatoes. It’s a day long process to get them diced and the sauce simmered to perfection but it’s SO WORTH IT! Plus the fresh basil comes from my garden. #TomatoChallenge

What a luxury to work with freshly harvested San Marzano tomatoes! Your sauce has such a rich color and an incredible texture. Slow cooking must really enhance its natural sweetness and deepen the flavor. Do you have any special tricks to bring out the tomato’s taste even more? And the fresh basil from your garden must add an amazing aroma. Do… Seguir leyendo

We’re going to call this zero waste, pre-Thanksgiving dinner. I had a bit of leftover steak, some zucchini and yellow squash, roasted red pepper and Toma Celena cheese so I made some fresh linguine and tossed it all together for a great meal!

The golden color and shape of the croissants are perfect. From what I can see, there might have been a small issue with the lamination or fermentation that prevented the typical honeycomb structure from forming. Making croissants isn’t easy,it requires a lot of patience and many attempts to get it right. But with practice, you’ll master the… Seguir leyendo

Your croissants look so well formed, the effort is evident in each layer, and the rolling is flawless.
They are going to turn out beautiful and surely delicious. Good luck, though you won’t need it with this level of detail.😍
If you can, please share a photo once the croissants come out of the oven. Best regards.
