Sourdough Starter for Panettone
Escrito por magibagina on noviembre 21, 2024 en 17:16Hi, I was wondering if I can just make less sourdough starter instead of 1kg as per the recipe/video. Feeding 2kg of flour everyday will be too expensive for me just to try it. For the panettone base
recipe the sourdough used is only 350 grams. It will be a waste to make 1kg sourdough and only use 350 grams.
And how many panettone can I make from the recipe?
Thanks and hope to get an answer soon.

Hi Gina.
Of course! You can prepare a smaller amount of sourdough starter. You could start with 1/4 of the recipe or even less. Just calculate how much sourdough starter you’ll need for the panettone and how much you’ll create and end up with.
Just make sure to follow the steps exactly as outlined in the recipe.
I hope this information helps, and if you have any other questions, I’m here and happy to help you resolve them.
Best regards.
