    Hi Riham Salem

Yes, 550°F (around 288°C) is an appropriate temperature for baking pizza at home, especially if you’re aiming for a result similar to Neapolitan-style or pizzeria pizza. The fan (convection) helps distribute the heat more evenly, which can improve the cooking process, particularly in a home oven.

Since your oven reaches its maximum temperature at 550°F with the fan on, you can follow the recipe as indicated, baking the pizza for 6-8 minutes. However, I would recommend starting to check the pizza at around 5 minutes to ensure it doesn’t burn, as the convection might speed up the cooking process a bit.

Additionally, if you have a pizza stone or steel, it’s ideal to use it, as it will help you achieve a crispier crust. Preheat the stone or steel for at least 30 minutes before baking.

We hope this information is helpful.

    Best regards.

    Hi Riham Salem

    Ok, I understand now.

I think your question was this:”The recipe says to bake at 280°C for 6 to 8 minutes, but my oven only goes up to 550°F. What temperature should I use in Fahrenheit to match 280°C?’

    The answer would be:

To convert 280°C to Fahrenheit, you can use the formula:

    \[°F = \left( \frac{9}{5} \times °C \right) + 32\]

    Calculating:

    \[°F = \left( \frac{9}{5} \times 280 \right) + 32 = 536°F\]

So, you should bake the pizza at 536°F to reach the 280°C that the recipe requires.

Let me know if this was the question you had. I’ll be waiting for your response.

    Best regards.

      Hi Riham Salem

Thank you for specifying the maximum temperature of your oven, which is 500°F.

To compensate for the difference in temperature, you will need to increase the baking time. If the original recipe suggests 5-8 minutes at 287°C (550°F), I would recommend baking the pizza at 260°C (500°F) for approximately 8-12 minutes. However, it’s crucial to keep an eye on the process to prevent the pizza from overcooking, especially on the bottom.

You might also consider preheating a pizza stone or a steel baking sheet in the oven to help achieve a crispier crust despite the lower temperature.

We hope this information is helpful.

      Best regards.
