Sometimes a simple palacsinta can make your day.
This morning, we went to our favorite shop and bought some strawberries from Greece, and I still had some homemade mascarpone in the fridge. I decided to make a fluffy mascarpone mousse and a strawberry sauce.
By the way, I believed for years that this kind of pancake, we call palacsinta in Hungary, is our specialty yet my Russian friend, Katya sent me the recipe for bliny which is exactly the same.
I wonder how many of you prepare this thin pancake in your countries. How do you call it?

Your preparation looks great.
In my country, if the dough is thick we call it a pancake and if it is thin or thin we call it crepes, but I don’t know if it is the same recipe or ingredients that you are using.
Greetings.

Hi Sussan, my crépes have very simple ingredients: flour, eggs, frizzy water… 🙂🙂🙂
The secret is that I whipe the egg whites to make the crépes fluffier. 🙂🙂

Well, In my country some call it Palacinka, but most of the population call them just crepes, as a modern term.
Here is one I made a few days ago. It doesn’t look as good as yours but I tried. The decoration failed because the Strawberry Jam was runny. Also the photo wasn’t well executed. Somebody has to teach me how to take some good food pics.

Hi @Xhefri , your palacinkas look fantastic. Thank you gor sharing.
By the way, I have found 2-3 courses on Scoolinary about plating and photography… and even tbe fine dining courses can be interesting if you would like to know more about food design and photography. 🙂🙂🙂

Xhefri Hi 👋We have a spanish course on our platform called “Fotografía Gastronómica con Smartphone”. You can visualize it setting the english subtitles.
https://www.scoolinary.com/es/courses/fotografia-gastronomica-con-smartphone/lessons/presentacion-del-curso-95
You can learn a lot from that course, given the plating evidently is not a problem for you.😄
The masterclasses are only in spanish but I’m sure you can watch the rest of it without any problem.
Let me know what you think of it if you do.
Have a great day @Xhefri and thanks for sharing your version on the palacsinta🙌 -

This is gorgeous, @orsolya-csernak We have them, too and we call them “panqueques” and stuff them with dulce de leche or baked apple. It’s delicuious. I guess is the same recipe or very similar to the French “crepes”.

I’m so happy to tell you both @orsolya-csernak & @Xhefri that you both deserve a #ScooliStar for these palacsinta you shared with us (Xhefri I had to pick one of yours and I guess the Spirulina version is “the one”).
Congratulations on your gorgeous preparations. If you’re up for it, we’ll post it on our Instagram stories and we’ll feature it in our Instagram highlights. Xhefri feel free to share your Instagram handle (@) with us if you want a mention!
Have a great day!1-
