i cant get it right ever,thats why I took this course,why donut doesnt have much ring?Do I over proof it?I proofed the the right temp and steam

Regarding your question about the ring, it might be because the dough didn’t have enough fermentation time or the oil temperature wasn’t ideal. The ring forms when the donut puffs up as it fries and floats properly in the hot oil. Try ensuring the dough is well-hydrated and has risen enough, and make sure to fry them at the correct temperature. We’re confident you’ll nail it on your next try!
