I’ve been craving a very specific salad from a restaurant that they call “Village Salad”. The ingredients are neatly arranged, with a giant piece of soft Danish feta on top. Luckily, it’s easy enough to make at home. Mine is not as neat as theirs, but it hit the spot. I had it with crispy cod fishcakes.

Mandi, what a delicious combination! Even though you mentioned it wasn’t as neatly arranged, the important thing is that the flavor was exactly what you were craving. The soft Danish feta and crispy cod fishcakes sound like the perfect pairing.
Definitely a meal to enjoy!

Try it again using the original greek feta you will discover a really nice complex feta cheese with .. layers of flavor. And then you can name the dish “XORIATIKI” as it’s called in greece.
