I think for normal plastic wrap, it can be used on low degrees. Maybe the one for baking, like the bag for meat.

    Hi Marie and @mina-kalajdzic

Welcome to the Scoolinary community! Thank you for your question.

The plastic wrap used in the oven is not the typical kitchen plastic wrap, as that would melt at high temperatures. What’s used is a special cooking film designed to withstand high temperatures without melting or releasing toxic substances.

    Features of cooking film:

-Heat resistance: It can withstand temperatures of up to 220-230 °C.

-Safe for oven use: It doesn’t burn or release harmful chemicals.

-Special material: Made from polymers suitable for high temperatures, such as polyamide.

    Some common brands:

    -Silivex (well-known in professional gastronomy).

-Culinario Film (brand names may vary depending on the country).

You can also check the specifications of the product you plan to buy or use to ensure it is heat-resistant and confirm the maximum temperature it can handle.

    Best regards.
