    Hi Catrine.

Welcome to the Scoolinary community! Thank you for your question.

To answer your question, yes, you can reduce the recipe by half to make a smaller quantity or if you’d like to practice the recipe first.

As a tip, keep in mind that the “macaronage” time for mixing the whipped egg whites with the dry ingredients will be shorter since there’s less volume. Regarding the baking time, reduce it by 1-2 minutes and check if they’re ready by touching the surface; they should feel firm but not browned.

    Best regards!

      Hi Sussan,

Just practicing at this stage. Can I do 1/3 of the macaron recipe?

        Hi Diana.

Of course! You can use 1/3 of the recipe to practice—just remember to reduce the baking time by 1 to 2 minutes. When the time is up, gently touch the surface to check if they’re firm.

Hope this helps, and wishing you great macarons!

        Best regards.
