    Hi Jonathan.

    Welcome to the Scoolinary community!

Not necessarily, but it depends on how long you want to preserve them and the ingredients you use.

Fresh syrups (cold or hot infusion without preservatives): Should always be refrigerated and last between 1 and 2 weeks.

Syrups with alcohol or citric acid: Have better preservation and can last longer when refrigerated.

High-sugar syrups (like a 2:1 sugar-to-water ratio): Stay stable at room temperature for longer, but refrigeration extends their shelf life.

If you’re using fresh herbs, store the syrup in the fridge to prevent fermentation or spoilage.

In case you haven’t seen it yet, here’s the link to a course that might interest you:

If you have any other questions about the courses, I’ll be happy to help.
