American burgers basil mayo fail
Posted by David Williams on October 22, 2024 at 08:55So, I tried to make that today and I came to realize there is no measurements! Mayo needs that as it’s a pain in the , you know. I did my best but at the end it was an eggy, vinegar smoothie. That seriously needs to be changed. Wasted a lot of ingredients and now I’m sad and my basil plant is very sad :,(

Hi David.
I’m sorry to hear that. Can you tell us what happened? Were the quantities incorrect? Did the mayonnaise fail to emulsify? That way, I can help you identify what went wrong.
Best regards.

There are no quantities that’s my point. The American burger course is really good I learned a lot but this basil mayo isn’t in recipe book isn’t measured which makes it impossible. Just a 2 minute add this and this and this. It’s like 100ml of red wine vinegar by the looks of it amygdala egg…. No idea. Shame

One thing if it’s possible. A conversation table from Oz to ml and gram? Trying to find one for egg etc seems mad!! Believe me I’ve looked!!

Hi David.
I usually use a website that has a temperature, volume, and weight converter. You can enter the weight in ounces, and it automatically converts it to grams. Or you can convert from milliliters to ounces. I’ve attached the link to the page for you to check out:
https://fabflour.co.uk/fab-tips/conversion-chart
I hope this information is helpful.
