Hi Natanael.
The equipment used to measure the alcohol content in beer after fermentation is called a hydrometer or alcoholmeter.
The alcoholmeter directly measures the alcohol percentage in the liquid, while the hydrometer is used to measure the liquid’s density. With the density, you can calculate the alcohol content by comparing the initial density (before fermentation) and the final density (after fermentation).
In the Beer Brewing Basics course, in Chapter 1, Lesson 3, you will find the equipment you need, and you’ll see that the hydrometer is included in the list.
