What you'll learn

You’ll learn step-by-step the secrets behind the best buttercreams with a melt-in-your-mouth texture, suitable consistency for structural support, and not overly sweet. Discover American buttercream, Swiss meringue buttercream, and Italian-style buttercream.

Additionally, you’ll find three cake recipes with delicate fruity flavors. The first one is a chocolate cake with banana that adds moisture, the second is a Caribbean cake with rum notes and apricot pieces inside, and the last one combines blueberries with lemon, which is one of my favorites.

Another aspect you will learn is the importance of making an ideal ganache to contain the fillings.

The patience that the chef explains with

I tried all the cake recipes but it was a bit difficult to make the beautiful decorations. I also reduced the amount of sugar in all the recipes because I found it too sweet. My favorite cake was the blueberry and the dried peaches with rum. Thank you, chef! 😊

Great Course and Very Informative

The instruction on the varying techniques was well done but this is definitely intermediate to advanced cake decorating. With these exceptionally gorgeous cakes who needs fondant? Buttercream cakes are definitely back!
