Takahiko Kondo, known as "Taka," is Massimo Bottura's right-hand man at Gucci Osteria, where he rose from pastry chef in 2010 to head chef in 2014. His collaboration with Bottura has resulted in the creation of some of the restaurant's most famous and innovative dishes.
In 2021, Taka took on a central role as the creative engine of the "Francescana family," likened to Messi by Bottura when leading the kitchen, while two young chefs, Matteo Zonarelli and Allen Huynh, were promoted to sous chefs.
In the spring of 2022, Taka Kondo made a significant move by joining Karime López as co-executive chef of Gucci Osteria in Florence. His experience at Gucci Osteria and his contribution to innovative cuisine make him a key member of the team.
