Who is Matías Cucco?
From a very young age, I watched my mother cooking. I'm sure that's what shaped my path in life.
When I turned 18, I started studying gastronomy at an institute in Argentina. At the end of the first year there, I started an internship, and so it was 12 years ago when this beautiful journey with gastronomy began. I worked in various restaurants and I had the opportunity to travel to Spain, specifically to the Basque Country, where I experienced different restaurant kitchens and learned a great deal about their cuisine.
In 2003, I began working in a Basque restaurant, where I met my wife, the daughter of the owners.
Today we are located in the Recoleta neighborhood with our restaurant Iñaki in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
For several years now, my wife, my brother-in-law, my mother-in-law and I have been running the restaurant together, with myself as the chef . We also have a team of 25 employees working with us.
In addition to working at the restaurant, I collaborate with different brands and TV channels in Argentina through my Instagram account (@matiascuco). Gastronomy is my life and I have the privilege of doing what I love most in the world.
