Who is Anjalina Chugani?
Anjalina Chugani is of Indian origin and considers herself a global citizen, having been born in London, lived in South India, in Bangalore, through her teens and early adult years, and then in Barcelona, where she currently resides with her family. As a child, she spent most of her summers in Manila (Philippines), where her maternal grandparents lived.
Anjalina is a cookbook author, cooking teacher and recipe developer. She has been in the food industry for almost 10 years, introducing people to the world of spices through traditional Indian recipes, using local and seasonal ingredients, and most recently, the holistic science of Ayurveda.
Anjalina has sought to build a bridge between her Eastern influences and Western life, through her passion for flavors, culinary techniques and Indian culture. She has always believed that it is essential to stay true to your roots, but maintain an indigenous perspective in any part of the world. Diversity is everywhere. It's how we essentially live our lives, says Anjalina.
She has just published his second book: forthcoming second cookbook, ‘Rasa: Flavors and Stories of Indian Cuisine’ focuses on her journeys throughout her life, through the food she knows and loves and has learned so much from. It is also a storytelling book that he is looking forward to sharing with the world.
