Learning track – week 1.
Essential pastry skills, Meringue.
Hello all, @sussan_scoolinaryteam @soldamiani
I completed the first task. I made Italian meringue. I was wanting to use it for a dish, however, I ran out of time.
I was sure I had filmed myself piping the meringue, but I don’t know what happened to the footage.
Here is the result.

I tried to upload video, but there is a 10mb size limit. I did use my lowest resolution settings on my iPhone, one of the videos was only 8mb, but the app wouldn’t let me upload it.

Hi Cary
Thank you for joining the learning path and sharing your results.
Tell us if you use meringue in any other desserts.
Greetings.
I like the composition you used in your first photo with all the ingredients before starting the preparation. As a recommendation, you could use more lighting in your photography.
Greetings.

Haha. I knew it. As I took the photo, I thought, I wonder if this lighting is good enough. 😁

Hi Cary
Oh, I see.
To determine if a photo lacks illumination, you can consider the following aspects:
– If the shadows are very deep and the details in the dark areas are hard to distinguish, it needs a bit more light.
– If the photo lacks a good range of tones and looks predominantly dark, it may need more light.
– Poorly lit images often have duller and less saturated colors.
– If you compare the image to the real scene and notice that the photo is much darker, it probably lacks illumination.
– If you simply feel that the image looks dark and unclear, it could be a sign of insufficient lighting.
We hope this information is helpful, and if you have any other questions, feel free to ask.
Best regards.1
