Is it better to use parchment paper or silicone pads for baking cookies?
Hi Mary.
As we mentioned earlier:
For baking cookies, both silicone mats and parchment paper are popular options, but each has its advantages:
▪️Silicone mats: They are reusable and provide a non-stick surface that ensures the cookies don’t stick. They are ideal for high-temperature ovens and can last a long time if taken care of properly.
▪️Parchment paper: It’s single-use and very convenient, as it’s easy to place and dispose of. It’s also non-stick, preventing the cookies from sticking, and it can absorb some moisture, helping the cookies become crispier on the outside.
In general, both are excellent for baking cookies, and the choice depends on your preferences. If you prefer a reusable and more eco-friendly option, the silicone mat is a great choice. If you prefer something simpler and more practical, parchment paper is perfect.
Best regards.
