A Trusted Danish Pastry Recipe Made from Scratch (No Puff Pastry)
Posted by mahamohsen86 on November 24, 2024 at 16:28Hi everyone,
could you recommend a recipe for making Danish pastry from scratch without using puff pastry? Also, how many folds do you typically perform to achieve the desired results?
Thanks 🙂

Hi Maha.
Danish pastries are usually made with puff pastry, and that’s the recipe we currently have on Scoolinary.
We offer a pear and pistachio Danish recipe, as well as recipes for fermented and laminated doughs.
Let me know if you’re looking for a different type of dough that isn’t puff pastry, so I can review the recipes available on our platform and suggest the one that suits you best.
Best regards.

Hi Maha.
Great! This recipe is part of the Puff Pastry course.
Here’s the direct link to the course. In Chapter 1, you’ll find the recipe book, which you can download to get the pear danish recipe.
